Celebrating Toronto’s Public Health Inspectors

02 October 2013

At the Toronto Board of Health meeting on October 1st, 2013 – the great work of Local 79 members who keep Toronto communities healthy and safe was recognized through the Mayor’s Proclamation of “Public Health Inspectors Week”, which ran from September 23-27, 2013.

Toronto has over 100 highly trained Public Health Inspectors who monitor thousands of facilities, including restaurants, homes, and swimming pools; work to prevent the spread of pests and communicable diseases; and monitor water control and air quality.

We send our thanks for the diligent work that our Public Health Inspectors do to keep us healthy and safe.
