On Saturday, March 9th, 2013, Local 79 participated in the 2013 International Women’s Day events, with a rally starting at OISE followed by a march all the way to Ryerson University to a fair that took on the ongoing violence against women.

“Fires are burning, we are rising” was the slogan of the 2013 Annual Toronto International Women’s Day Rally and March.
