Join the Chinese-Canadian or Filipino-Canadian Workers Network

The Toronto and York Region Labour Council is working to build networks of union activists in a number of newcomer communities in Toronto.  Two years ago they started the Chinese Workers Network, which has been an overwhelming success. Now they’re calling on Filipino-Canadian union members to come together and plan how to take a pro-union message into the community, as well as supporting each other as union leaders and activists.

The first meeting for the Filipino-Canadian Workers Network is next Tuesday, July 22nd, 7:30 pm in the Labour Council boardroom, OFL Building, 15 Gervais Drive. For more information contact  jcartwright@labourcouncil.ca  or 416-441-3663 x 226.

If you’d like to join the Chinese-Canadian Workers Network, please contact Jennifer Huang at jhuang@labourcouncil.ca or  416-441-3663 ext. 225.
