This morning, Local 79 was pleased to accept the Communications Award for ‘Best Website Design’ at the CUPE 2011 National Convention taking place in Vancouver this week.
Local 79’s website was re-developed earlier this year with unionized web-development studio Raised Eyebrow. Local 79’s Communications Representative, Tor Sandberg, and Raised Eyebrow’s Client Manager, Anna Geromes, both led the design of Local 79’s new website.
Based on directions from Local 79’s Executive, the redesign emphasized a streamlined look, social media widgets, an eNewsletter, and recently added a secure ‘Members’ Portal’ in order to give Local 79 members access to personalized and confidential information.
