NURSING: A LEADING FORCE FOR CHANGE
Canada’s National Nursing Week for 2014 is May 12 – 18. The theme – “Nursing: A Leading Force For Change” recognizes the vital role nurses play to enrich and maintain the health and well-being of all the residents of the City of Toronto, as part of Canada’s publicly-funded, universal health care. As nurses your work is at the very heart of our health care system.
Local 79 is proud of our nurses and Nursing Week is a time for us all to honour the caring and dedication of our members who work at Toronto Public Health; Bridgepoint Hospital; Long-Term Care Homes & Services; Shelter, Support & Housing; and elsewhere across the City. You put people first, and have led the way in the fight for quality public health care.
You have our respect, and our thanks.
