As a thank you to the young workers and activists who’ve been working hard to promote the Recreation Works! Campaign, Local 79 hosted a ping pong social at Spin! Toronto in their honour on Thursday, October 18, 2012.
This event is part of an ongoing effort to engage members — and especially young workers — in activism that promotes opportunities and ameliorates the lives of young people in Toronto.
We also had some of the leaders in progressive policy show up to our ping pong social, to help create better links and foster community amongst people working towards a more equal, safe, and fair Toronto.
