On Saturday, October 28th, 2017 — CUPE Local 79 celebrated 75 years of building good jobs that deliver quality services in Toronto.
We reflected on highlights of the last 75 years and talked about our path forward.

Attendees enjoyed delicious dishes and wines presented by Chef Annick using ingredients gathered from local and sustainable sources and listened to keynote speaker David Rolf, International Vice President of SEIU and the President of SEIU 775, speak about the future of work and labour in North America. Deena Ladd (organizer with $15 and Fairness) & Alejandra Bravo (Director of Leadership & Training at the Broadbent Institute)  for a conversation on how to build a good jobs movement.
